The Brandenburg family has over 50 years here in San Jose. Together, we have been and continue to be committed to bettering our city’s quality of life on a variety of levels. Our families believe in positive legacies and, in this case, building a quality non-sectarian cemetery for the respectful disposition of San Jose and other area residents while respecting diverse burial practices and traditions. This site is peaceful and remote.

We entirely re-tooled the project to be more compact and less impactful, minimizing grading, tree removal, and visual/other environmental impacts. The formal technical studies and analysis, together with preparation of the draft EIR and statutory public comment period, wrapped up in October of 2014. The Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the project, and the San Jose City Council also unanimously approved Heritage Oaks in December 2014.
